10 easy ways to wake up your brain

Our brain is the center of all cognitive processes. It needs to be fed and stimulated in order to expand your mind. By maximizing its ability to work at best you can determine your success. Your brain is the command center that controls everything you do, and determines how you feel, think and act. Making your brain work at peak performance, it allows you to unleash your mind. You can be your best, the rest is done by your brain.

1. Mindfulness: Spend the first and last hour of the day without distraction: Take your time in the morning for a long shower, start your day with a yoga session, listen to your favorite song in the evening or read another chapter of your book.

2. Hydration: Drink a huge glass of water!

3. Celebrate achievements: Write down 3 business goals and 3 private things you want to achieve today.

4. Limit decisions: Reduce the options you have. Save brain capacity by limiting the choices what you are wearing or eating this day. Mark Zuckerberg wears the same kind of clothes every day as it does not require any decision.

5. Start with success: Begin the day with an accomplishment that gives you a good feeling and fosters your motivation. A very easy thing to do is making your bed and leaving your flat tidied up.

6. Brain work: Wake up your brain and stimulate your senses by brushing your teeth with the opposite hand.

7. Change the perspective: Sit at a place you usually do not sit, lay down on the floor and look at the room from another angle, or go to a place you are not used to work at.

8. Pay attention: Stop for a second and pay attention to your surrounding. What do you see? What do you hear? Which scents do you smell?

9. Be grateful: Write down 3 things you are grateful for. What do you like about your job? What makes you happy in your life?

10. Step backwards: Recap your day backwards and start with the thing you did last!
